While I think you make some valid points, I find your basic premise naive. Yes arms dealers etc make profit from war. Yes the Russians fear American imperialism. Yes war is terrible for both sides. But Russia’s fear does not excuse their brutal invasion of Ukraine. Would you have recommended mediating a peace settlement between Germany and the countries they occupied in the 1940’s while allowing them to maintain their occupation?
