Thank you, Tim, for sharing this very useful insight. It had not occurred to me that my distaste and wanting to opt out of the ugliness of much right wing, racist and misogynist expression is a form of white (or female) fragility. But I see that it is, and that I need to expand my "discomfort resilience" so I can stay in the fray, knowing that so many don't have a choice.
