Thank you for a great piece of writing and elucidating the ways the US and Russia are both engaged in falsifying historical memory in order to achieve totalitarian/anti-democratic ends. I am reminded of Milan Kundera's wonderful "The Book of Laughter and Forgetting," -- a beautiful meditation on the selective erasure of history by the Russians occupying the former Czechoslovakia.
