I am bewildered by this thinking. Of course war is terrible. But a brutal invasion by a country that is profoundly autocratic, white nationalist and suppressive of open media? Would you just want the US and Europe to let that happen? Europe has been here before. They know where this leads. Would you have advocated making peace with Hitler? And maybe the fact that it’s the most ant-democratic of Republicans who want us to let Russia win should give you pause.
