I agree about the importance of education, that without knowing our history we will not be able to fight for justice and reparation. But ignorance is not the only cause of the backlash and increasingly obvious racism - as well as misogyny and xenophobia. It is also greed and the unwillingness to lose privilege. A lot of the anti-woke and anti teaching history politicians know exactly what they are doing.
